Friends,

Let us introduce ourselves. We are Sapthre Maple Products, a small Micro-Distillery located in Adams, MN. Adams is a small town in Mower County, Minnesota located near the Iowa border. Our name simply comes from a combination of our product and our passion for making products out of Maple “sap” and our last name, Sathre.

Our business began as we enjoyed a simple “walk in the woods” one fall evening. We noticed an abundance of existing Maple trees and we made the decision to try to “harvest” the Maple. With the help of many family and friends, we have harvested and dreamed over the years. One “dream” was to obtain licensure to distill our maple into a great-tasting Maple Spirit.

However… …as was true for anyone reading this… …we got tossed a curve ball. As we were finalizing our licensure and spending countless hours researching the “how to” regarding utilizing our raw product-Maple-Sap and turning it into a great product for our friends, family, and neighbors to enjoy, everyone in the world seemed to be talking about “covid 19”.

First and foremost we strive to be good, helpful humans. So when we were approached about addressing the hand sanitizer shortage, the choice was simple. We made sanitizer. Gallons and gallons of sanitizer. As the “shortage” turned into overfilled shelves of sanitizer we adjusted our sails again.

Miskey was born. Miskey is a Maple spirit with a slightly sweet taste and smooth finish. Miskey tastes great neat, on rocks or added to any soft drink, or as a simple mix and into hot or cold coffee w/ cream. There are a few signature cocktail recipes for Miskey and more can be found on our Sathre Maple Product Facebook page or at Sapthremapleproducts.com

A few examples are:

Miskey Mule

2oz (¼ cup) Miskey

½oz (1 tablespoon) fresh lime juice

4oz (½ cup) ginger beer

For the garnish: lime wheel or wedge, fresh mint (if desired)

Miskey Bulldog

2oz (¼ cup) vodka

2oz (¼ cup) coffee or coffee liquor

1 splash of heavy cream

Shake it together with Ice before pouring the mix into a separate glass

Top off with cola
